CALLING ALL WHO CARE ABOUT LIBRARIES, MUSEUMS, ARCHIVES and Copyright!
The Library of Congress Study Group extended the deadline to participate in its roundtable on revising library copyright law (in Chicago, January 31, 2007).
This affects libraries, archives, museums and in some aspects, other nonprofit educational institutions. New deadline: January 19, 2007
It's just a simple email to ask to participate. Written comments aren't due until March 9th. To ask to participate, look over the Federal Register announcement.
Yipes - that's right - I did tell the NITLE copyright symposium participants that I'd write a blog entry. Will do; thanks for reminder. To tell the truth, it's hard to write about, but I'll muster an attempt in a day or two.

Any follow-up comments on the actual meeting? What was discussed, decided, deferred?
